This is an app that play which is based on crossword puzzles and it very fun, but challenging at the same time. This app is again is like the crossword puzzles on the newspapers or in the books, but now they are on the phone. When you open the app it will tell you start at level 1 and will show how to play the game. After it's over more levels are open to you and the higher the levels are the more difficult they become. My personal experience of the app is that it's amazing and usually makes me struggle since in some levels it provides you with many letters and sometimes you run out of words to put in and that's when the concentration starts. In one level it took me 20 minutes to figure out the last word in the puzzle with only using five letters at my disposal.
This app really helps the mind start clicking and helps with concentration and learning new words. I have observed that people get a little cocky with puzzles like these, but in reality they will be the ones who will struggle the most. It may seem bad, but struggling is good because it means that we are actually using our brains into figuring out a simple. The last thing that is worth mentioning is that when you open the app it will always have daily puzzle for you everyday and it could become like a warm-up when you want to take on some levels of the game. Reflection: This activity is my second favorite thing to do in my free time. I really enjoy training with a sword ever since I learned about samurais in my 7th-grade year and then later in my freshman year when I began to watch an anime called "One Piece" which has a character who is a swordsman and uses three swords. After learning about this character I really felt inspired to follow his footsteps and I have to say it is very fun while at the same time very interesting to do. I learned that if you want to become a true swordsman you have to be very disciplined and you must have to be one with nature by meditation and extreme training. This training requires you to go beyond your limit and have your mind very strong. It may seem that this seems useless in life, but to me, it taught how to clear my mind and to be very athletic and to let nothing of getting in the way of achieving my goal.

Reflection: Last year I began to sketch because it was needed for my engineering class which was pretty cool. The first two triads of last year, we had to try our best to sketch objects and then later we learned certain techniques to make our sketches better. When we learned these techniques I began to notice that my sketches were getting better and better. Unfortunately this year I am not taking that class again, but I recently began to sketch once more. When I did my sketches, they were terrible again, but I didn't let that stop since now I really wanted to draw character s like superheroes with superpowers. It still is challenging when I sketch, but if I keep at it I will become a better sketch artist. I like this because it really forces me to keep going when it doesn't look right or something isn't going according to plan and that I really like.

Reflection: I usually play basketball when I have nothing else to do and I always play with my friend Carlos. When we play we usually train ourselves to improve what we need to improve. What we like most of the time is practicing our shots and see how many times we can keep it constant without missing a single shot. Well, unfortunately, I'm not very good my highest was 5 while Carlos always got a higher score than and usually by 3 or more. Then when we finish our training we play against each other and it is always a bast even though I always lose. I don't mind losing I just mind if I have improved or not and there is always an improvement. To me playing a sport helps you create your character and how you manage things when there aren't going your way. So to conclude, playing basketball helps me understand that there is always room for improvement.

Reflection: In the past two days I have been trying to learn a new language and I have to say that it is very difficult. Since I already know how to speak English and Spanish, I just wanted to take it a step further by trying to learn Japanese. I also was trying to learn Russian, but it was a lot harder than it sounded. When I finally got frustrated I decided to move on to Japanese. This was my second choice since I really love Japanese culture and I would love to learn more about it. Also, another reason why I want to learn Japanese is that I watch cartoon-like shows called anime which the characters only speak Japanese, but each anime has English subtitles so we can understand what they are saying. This makes me want to take it a step further by trying to understand it without subtitles. Also, one day I will go to Japan to see the beautiful cities and see ancient temples. If I really want this to happen then I cannot falter and give up, I must keep on persevering through until I become fluent in the language. So far I really need to work hard, but I will manage it with if I keep trying and I will keep posting my progress for others to see how much I have learned.

Reflection: Doing word searches is fun and it helps my mind in a good way. To clarify it helps with making my brain stronger by searching for words. Also, I sometimes time myself when I do this and I like it because it puts more pressure, but at the same time, it helps improve my visual reflexes. What I mean by this is that I can spot words a lot quicker by doing so and timing myself every time to see if I can improve, To add doing this can also help me read faster and helps me think critically. I love to read and I have been noticing that I have been reading a lot quicker, but while still understanding what is going on in the book. This really helps me think a lot more critical because of there a lot of letters and sometimes they make up a lot of words and some that look similar to the ones you need to find. All in all, this is a fun activity to do when there is nothing else to do and you get to benefit out of this as well. I will most definitely keep on doing this to see if can become a lot quicker.

Reflection: This is an experience that I like to do a lot. I understand that meditation doesn't sound fun, but to me it is and helps me relieve stress and clear my mind. I began to meditate this past summer because I wanted to see if it really works and it eventually did. It's just strange that sitting criss-cross and closing your eyes can help relieve stress. The first time it was hard cause I couldn't stay still and relaxed, but as time progressed I became to do better until I actually began to like doing it. This totally helped me when in times of stressful events like so much homework or things to do. Once I meditate I'm in whole different world and when I'm done I feel totally tranquil. I thank meditation for my good spirit and positivity and I would encourage others to this when they have stress because "breathing slowly everyday can make your stress go away".

Reflection: I consider this experience at the same thing as meditation because riding my bike really helps clear my mind relieve stress. At times of when I am really, stressed meditation doesn't help because I can't stop thinking about the things, I have to get done. So when meditation isn't working I just decide to ride my bike. I just get my bike, fill the tires with, out on my helmet, and I'm on my way. When I ride I usually I don't have a specific route. I just go with the flow and ride with the wind. I never understood why riding my bike was stress relieving, but it is. I feel that it stress relieving due to the fact you are exercising and pushing yourself to the limit at the point that you forget what you were stressed about. This is a thing that I always do even for fun because it makes me feel free and I would like to encourage others to ride bikes to feel the same way that I do and see that riding a bike is a lot more exciting than driving a car.

Reflection: Doing this activity is always fun and relaxing for me every single time I do it. I love doing this because I love birds for the most part and love to relax. To me, it ranks number three in my top 5 list to relax since my top one is meditating and two swords play. Ever since I was a kid I love watching nature shows and I remember one episode I watched was all about birds and I became addicted to learning every single species of birds there are in the world. This was an amazing day and me now in my free time I take a chair outside and sit and see what goes by and see what species of birds fly by. Sometimes I take a notebook and my laptop to get the information of the bird that I have seen and I then write it down in my notebook. Sometimes I challenge myself to try to memorize the name and species of the bird without looking at my notes. In a way, it helps me improve memorizing and especially helps when I need to study.
