"It is during our darkest moments that we must focus to see the light"- Aristotle Onassis
This is another of my favorite quotes that constructed my personality and my beliefs. What this quote is trying to say is that during our bad times, there is always a ray of hope that pulls us back up when we have fallen into darkness and I had interpreted this as a fight between good versus evil type thing. As a kid, I loved heroes and the things they did on tv especially their powers that they had. While growing up I went back to some of my favorites heroes shows and I realized that the hero always taught the viewers some of their morals and beliefs. As an example, I used to watch a show called YUGIOH which is about a card game that brings the visuals on the card to life and people would duel for fun, and it the main character was the best "duelist" in the whole world. At times he would fall into darkness and sometimes lose his way, but the bond that he has with his friends and by "believing in the heart of the cards" (believing in himself) he can overcome the darkness that tries to distract him from his path. At first, I didn't understand what he meant, but as I grew up I went back to watch it and I finally understood what he meant and soon after I applied it to my personality. This will always be one of my favorites and at times it makes me become more open-minded and a bit more knowledgeable towards not giving up. Since being part of the IB program I notice some of my classmates getting super stressed about certain subjects, but we come together and we fight off the darkness that tries to consume us whole. To me, I have become part a huge family where if one us gets down in the dumps the rest are there to pick them right back up. Being open-minded is a big part that plays in this program because there is always room for ideas that seem wrong to you, but it still could be proved right in the future. So now speaking about this quote made feel even more inspired to keep on moving forward when things get rough and that I have my friends when I get deeper in the abyss of darkness. Learning Outcomes:

In my TOK class, every Monday my teacher would give us a quote on the board and we would try to figure what it meant and how we could apply this to the real world. I'll admit I could have done this sooner, but doing it now seems right because I honestly miss doing the quotes that my teacher, Mrs. Thomas, gave us I wish to have her once again. The only thing I can do is to be patient and in a way carry out her ways of inspiring myself and others until I meet with her again. Honestly, I'm pretty excited because there are many quotes that I like a lot and soon when I kind of run out I will find a way for my phone to give me random inspirational quotes, so I can find out where in the areas of knowledge that quote could be applied to. Although there are many quotes that I like I would like to start my continued mindfulness Monday's with one of Ralph Waldo Emerson.
"Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail," Ralph Waldo Emerson. This was one of my favorite quotes that I came across on tv and then later in my history books and for some reason it makes me feel great about myself. The reason behind my enthusiasm of this quote is that it relates to a character of an anime show which I really like a lot. In this show, the character comes across many enemies that are stronger than him and at times tell him to follow the path of someone else, but to him, he wants to walk on a path that no one has ever walked before and maybe inspire others to do the same. I was so amazed and inspired that I decided to do the very thing that this quote is implying. I feel that this quote could be related to being principled because I can tell the wrong from the right when it appears on my path and I will make sure that to keep following my path without letting anything stop me. Like the protagonist said in his show " what's the point of walking a path where there is a lot of shortcuts. I like to walk down a down a bumpy path where challenges await". Learning Outcomes:
