"Always keep your eyes open. Keep watching. Because whatever you see can inspire."- Grace Coddington
Alright, everyone, I'm sorry that I haven't done this in a while, but I'm back and ready to analyze a quote. So enough talk, let us just jump right into it. Well, like usual I get random quotes daily from Google and today's quote was quite interesting and really got me to think really deeply. The reason why I thought deeply was that I took it to the heart of the interpretation of the quote. So basically the main point the quote is trying to make is patient and great things will eventually happen and this you can get inspired. So to relate back why I took this to hear is because I really went through a rough time in the last two months and I really was impatient in trying to get better. I wanted the darkest time in my life to end quickly because it was truly getting me off my path. I spoke to people, especially my teacher, to ask for there guidance and all I have to say that it was the best decision to keep my eyes open. Honestly, I kept shutting my eyes because I didn't want to witness anything anymore because I had enough. But my English teacher especially really helped throughout the journey and I'm glad she stuck through it because without her help I would still be lost. She told me to keep going no matter what and to "relish the accomplishment" and most importantly to be patient because what I was going through was going to take time. Overall, I'm really happy that I received this quote today because it made reflect upon the dark time I went through, thinking the alternatives that could have to happen if I did not keep my eyes open. Well, as everyone knows now, it is time to connect Monday's quote with the IB Learner Profile. So when I saw this quote I knew right away that this quote was connected to the part of thinking, reflective, and knowledgeable. So you may know why this quote is associated with thinking because if you see this quote or any quote in general, you will put great thought into. You begin to think of its interpretation and how it can be used in your favor or for me, how it can inspire you and how you can inspire others with it. But before you reach this outcome, the reflective part of the Profile also is present in the thinking process. When you begin to think about the power that the quote contains, you begin to reflect upon what you have gone through and find specific moments in your life that really connects well with the meaning. When you look back, you begin to think of what you have gone through and you begin to put deep thought into trying to figure out what you learned from it and then you try to think of ways to prevent it. When this happens, the knowledgeable part of the profile becomes unique and the reason why is because when you deeply reflected of your experience, you think deeply about everything that occurred and you become more knowledgeable in that area of experiences in that you will know what to do if that experience were to happen once again. So to put it simply, every experience, especially really deep experiences, you will no longer be the same once you went through the whole experience. It may sound scary, but not fret, this change isn't bad it's good and the reason why is because you keep your eyes open, kept on watching, and you learned and most of the time you learn by being supported by those who care deeply about you and want what is best for you. Well, that is it, folks. I really hope you guys like this as much as I did and maybe, just maybe, I will write my hardest experience that really connects to this quote and I will try to leave what I learned from it and pass the knowledge to you. Well until next Monday.

"Life isn't about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself"- George Bernard Shaw
Hello once again, it has been a nice winter break, but it is soon to be over. Since it is almost over, I just wanted to start doing the analysis of quotes once again, plus I missed doing it. Well now that I did my introduction, it is is time for the quote. So this Monday's quote I have to say, was most insightful and very great. So the quote above is by George Bernard Shaw and I have to say the meaning of it is great. So basically this quote doesn't any further analysis because it already states its meaning. When I first read it, I was really puzzled, but in a good way for only about a moment. Then once I read it again, I understood right there and then, and I'll admit it made me consider the meaning into consideration of my life. To clarify, we tend to always have this weird and surging tendency in trying to figure who we are and we got to the extent in asking people questions like, "who am I?", "what am I to you?", and "how do you see me as a person?". I used to think these questions since I wanted to know who I was, but now seeing this quote, I realize that the message behind it is true. Life isn't about trying to find who really are, it's about creating ourselves to be who we want to be. Although, it is ok in wanting to find out who really since I'm the same to this day, but I now recognize who I am and that creation of my character is all thanks to the IB Program and anime. Well now that the analysis or should I say the clarification of the quote is done, it is time to connect the it with the IB Learner profile. So referring back to the profile, I know for sure that the component of being knowledgeable, reflective, and becoming an Inquirer associate with the quote. So to begin, the reason it associate very well with these components of the IB profile is because we will learn from the message behind the quote. When reading the quote for the first hand, you will become knowledgeable in the sense that you will begin to understand that life isn't always about finding who really are. It is simply about how we create ourselves which then we get the sense that there is no need to go on the search for yourself since you can simply create yourself. At this point, you will begin to reflect upon this and eventually you will recall everything that you have done and what you currently do is what defines you in life. This will be good because looking back there may have been things that you remember what you used to do and you can use the information as to keep doing what you use to or simply stop doing them and do something that will define. This would connect to being an Inquirer since we will become very curious about learning who are in life and what certain characteristics define you. Well that is the whole analysis and I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. When looking upon quotes like this one it is good to try the meaning of it and seeing what affect it can have on you. That is all for now and can't wait to analyze the quite for next Monday. " Don't let what you cannot do interfere with what you can do"- John R. Wooden
Well it has been awhile since i have done a Mindfulness Monday, but since I'm back I think it's time to analyze some awesome and inspiring quotes. It is really fun to do this on Mondays and I can't for the quotes that we could possibly get, but for now let us focus on the one of today. So, knowing me, every time I see an awesome quote, I always say that "this quote is one my top ones" and this quote is just that. When I first read it I sort of the meaning behind it, but the more I read it, the more I understood it and the more I become to like it. From what I read this quote seems to say that when there are things feel can't do, do not let that get in the way of all the other things you can possibly do. Honestly I really like this because of the fact that its meaning is easy to understand and it's simple. This quotes meaning is quite powerful in the sense that it can really wake someone up from their state of mind that they can't do things because they are either afraid, nervous, or simply because it's too hard. When seeing this quote, that person with that state of mind will maybe wake up completely to the point where they realize that have that mentality is bad and progress can't proceed because there are letting something they feel they cannot do get to their heads. To be honest, I sometimes have this mentality and it does really bother me that it stays in my mind for quite awhile. However, I know if I ponder on the matter I will get sidetracked and I will lose sight of what I can do. Letting this happen is quite bad because this mentality gets you into a state of weakness, but eventually this can be turned around and it is simply seeing a quote like this So now that I have analyzed the quote, it is time to connect it with the IB Learner Profile. So, looking back at the profile it seems that this quote is associated with being knowledgeable, reflective, thinker and maybe even risk-taker. So when I incorporate these component of the profile I like to connect being knowledgeable and being reflective together because I feel that they go hand-in-hand. Knowing that, the reason why I say that this quote can associate with being knowledgeable and reflective is because when you find out there things that you can't do, you begin to think about why you can't. In this process of thinking, there is something I like to call is that "there is a war being fought in your mind in making a decision". To clarify, you think and begin to struggle upon why you can't do certain things and eventually having this mentality will deprive us from what we can. However, once you get out of that state of mind, everything become clearer and you begin to see all the things that you can in replacement with what you can't. This is why it seems to connect well with being reflective, knowledgeable, and I forgot to mention being a thinker since when you are thinking on how to solve this predicament and eventually you think, reflect, and new knowledge is acquired. As for the last one, risk-taker, this can follow under this if you manage to overcome that feeling of not being able to do what you can't. Sometimes there are things in life that we can't do simply because we don't know anything of it or it is simply out of fear. However, when you overcome this, you take the risk of doing what you feel you can't to see if you actually can't. At the moment, you simply broke the barrier in which even though you felt you couldn't do it before you still tried and that is all that matters because you don't want this to keep bothering you and you want to get rid of this feeling. Well that is it for this week's quote and I say that this quote was a good one. Until next time, I'll see you then. "The more I want to get something done, the less I call it work"- Richard Bach
The holiday's are around the corner and before they arrive I just wanted to do one more Mindfulness Monday just to bring the spirits up during the break. Well I hope you will be able to relax and have great time during break, but before then, it's time to get into this Monday's quote. So to start off, the first I observed from this Monday's quote is that it seems to be a bit motivational, but it seems to be a quote that helps you find your interests in life. To clarify, depending on who are, it can either be motivational or an eye-opener or even both depending on the way people will interpret this quote. Before I move on, I just want to state that the interpretation that I'm going to give will be my own and as a reminder, everyone sees or interprets things differently so don't be alarmed if my interpretation is totally different form yours. So the way I interpret this quote is that what it basically says, but let me explain it in deeper depth. So interpret this quote as whatever you do may seem like so much at first, but the more you do it, you begin to love it and you don't see as work anymore. You now begin to see it as way to challenge yourself, to see your limits in order to try to break them or you can see it as way to relieve your mind from everything and get your body relaxed. Also, I would like to include that people are willing to things and the first part portrays that when saying "the more I want to get something done..." and the second part, "... the less I call it work" conveys that when you do something you enjoy or are willing to do will seem less like work due to the fact that you don't see it that way anymore. So to sum up my interpretation, the way I interpret this quote is that whatever you do and get it done, it begins to seem less like work because no one obligates you to do it, you obligate yourself for whatever reasons. Well now that I have given my interpretation, it's time to connect the quote with the IB profile. So looking back at the profile, the components that I felt were associated with this quote were reflective and knowledgeable. The reason why I say reflective is because when you do something that you begin to see differently in which you no longer see something as work, but as something that makes you feel relaxed, you will begin to reflect upon why everyone else sees as work, but you don't. Eventually, this would lead to being knowledgeable in that once you have reflected, you learn that whatever you see people see as work, doesn't apply to you. Not only that, by learning what interests you, you get to learn upon yourself, what you actually like, and what things you see as work that at times can become something that no longer be the way. Well that is it for today's quote and I'm sorry if this part did not make much sense, but this one was really different in the sense that it wasn't as motivational as the others I have done in the past, but rather it's one that helps you understand more about yourself. Either way hope you enjoyed it and I'll see you in the Mindfulness Monday. "Sometimes our light goes out, but is blown again into instant flame by an encounter with another human being."- Albert Schweitzer
For this Monday's quote all I have to say that when I read it, I was truly moved as it almost brought me to tears because of how interpreted this quote. This quote is so great that I will skip the introduction and just jump right into the quote. So how I interpreted this quote is when we feel awful about ourselves, or when all hope seems lost, our flame or light "goes out". However, the light or flame can be reignited once again through the help or as the quote states "encounter with another human being". So to put it simple terms when one day doesn't seem to be our day and things aren't going how they are supposed to be, there is someone who will help you through the rough time and will help to reignite the flame that was about to be blown out. Upon making this interpretation, the quote immediately became my favorite quote of all time because it helped me get back on my feet. To clarify, I was giving up hope of working hard in school and trying to achieve my goal because of so many negative thoughts that were going through my mind because of news that I discovered about my family. Unfortunately, I can't share the information for personal reasons, but the news really put in bad shape in that I didn't want to speak to anyone and I just wanted to give up on what I have worked for up until now and I just wanted to run away from everything. This depression carried on for a few weeks and at times my friends and even my teachers would notice that something was wrong with me since I was too silent and I was interacting with anyone. Eventually, I just carried on with school stuff, but I didn't the have the interest in doing it. However, one day I asked a friend if I was a failure and the answer was something I should have expected from a friend in which she replied that I was not which I felt surprised that she said that, nut at the same time it did not have any effect on me. Her words did not resonate within me until I came across this quote in which it totally broke my cage that I was in and I was free once again. Soon after that I finally was back to my old self, I wanted to give my thanks to my friend who never gave up on me and who saw me a good person and I even wanted to tell her something important, but I was nervous to tell her that I just gave her my thanks. Overall, this quote is now my favorite and I'm glad that I do this every Monday because I truly feel that these quotes have great power in that it could affect someone in great ways. Well now that I fully broke down this quote with the inclusion of a personal experience of mine, it's time to connect this quote with the IB Learner Profile. So as I can see, the part that really associates with this quote very well is caring. This quote to me seems to convey care with its meaning since if one person is losing person all hope, one person that truly cares for them is there to pick them right back up. Also, this can work the other way in which someone you know is going through rough times and seems like all hope is lost to them and there are willing to give up, but knowing that you truly care for them, you help them get through it. Eventually doing this can lead to being knowledgeable which another part of the profile in which you know about someone's behavior and know when they are going through a bad time so you can do something to help them. To me honestly, these two components of the profile seem to really part of the quote and I'm glad that these two components are part of the IB Learner profile because we truly learn about someone through the bond that people share with each other. Well this will conclude this week's Mindfulness Monday and to be honest, I feel way better in sharing this with others in the hope people will be inspired to help others when they are going through a rough time. Other than that, until next Monday. "True happiness... arises, in the first place, from the enjoyment of one's self"- Joseph Addison
Well like I always say in each Mindfulness Monday entry, "it's good to be back in diving deep into the meaning of quotes. Recently I have been busy trying to get a project done for a class which would deprive me into doing Mindfulness Mondays, but I'm finally back and I will try to find time to do them as best as I can. Well, enough of that lets jump right into the quote of today. When I first read this quote I felt it wasn't inspirational like the previous ones I have done in the past. The reason why I say this because of the way how I felt the quote meant. I feel it doesn't provide anything motivational or inspirational, but rather a feeling that brought comfort. You may ask yourself "comfort?", but the reason why I say this is because the experiences I had in the past since when I started to attend high school. To put it simply, my past experiences have an influence on the interpretation of this quote's meaning. I interpreted this quote as basically meaning that once you have found happiness within yourself, it could augment when you find that happiness with others. I understand that there are going to be some people that will disagree with my interpretation, but to back up with my statement is that within the quote it has the words "...arises, in the first place..." which I took as the beginning to something greater. Since this quote is revealing how true happiness is created and when it seems to reveal that it can only seem to be found only when you find it within yourself. This was the way how I began to see the quote because I found my true happiness when began to get into school a lot more it led to me meeting my friends which are the people who helped augment my true happiness. My true happiness was helping others when they are in need and especially when they are going through some rough times. This happiness was discovered within myself in that I always had an urge to help even within myself when it came down to change things in my character that I did not like. Eventually, it led to me helping others and now I feel grateful and happy every time I do so and the thing that makes me happy the most is seeing the people I helped I helped and smile. I hope that people understand my interpretation, but now its time to connect this quote with the IB Learner profile. Looking at the IB Profile, the only components that this quote is associated with is caring, knowledgeable, and reflective. The reason why I feel that caring is associated with the quote is that when the true happiness is discovered you begin to care about it by the fact that you would do anything to not let it be destroyed when things seem not to go your way. Like I said previously, the happiness is augmented with the help of others who share the same happiness and care dearly to keep it growing or from having it extinguished, but this will lead to them caring about your well-being. To move on, this quote is associated with knowledgeable in that you begin to know about your true feelings when you first find true happiness. To clarify, once true happiness is found you begin to dive deep in all things that you have down and try figure out what emotions you get out of them and eventually it expands to how it makes other people feel. Lastly, this quote is associated with reflective in that once true happiness is found you begin to reflect how it was found and how it could influence you in a certain way. Every time you discover something or observe a change in your life you begin to reflect how it will affect you later on and with happiness, you will reflect how discovering its true form will affect you and at times others later on in life. As a reminder, everything that we do has an impact on our lives and its these things are what influences us to be who we are when we reflect upon finding the truth behind things in life. Well, that will be the end of this entry and I'll admit this quote was a bit different and difficult to analyze in the same way as the inspirational ones. I tried the best that I could to give the interpretation of this quote and I hope you will be able to understand it. Until the next time. " I don't even know if there is such a thing as justice in the shinobi world. We fight believing in our own justice. But if the enemy is doing the same, who's right?"- Shisui Uchiha
It has truly been a while since I have done a Mindfulness Mondays and the funny thing is that today is Sunday. I guess today will be a special Mindfulness Monday Sunday edition and to let you guys this quote that this quote I did not get from Google, but rather I found it in one of my social media and it has to do with anime so let us hop to it. Like I said this quote is in connection with one of my favorite anime's of all time and on top of that this quote was said by one of my favorite characters in the anime. You guys are probably wondering what this is and to answers your question, this anime that this quote is connected to is Naruto Shippuden. This anime taught many great morals and I'll admit it also influenced how I see the world today. Before I proceed I'll provide a small summary of what this anime is about. To put it simply this anime is about a character name Naruto who grew up without parents and all the people in his village, the Hidden Leaf, hated him due to him having a nine-tailed fox inside him. His goal throughout the whole anime is to become the Hokage, the leader of the village, in order for everyone in the village to acknowledge him. His journey in becoming the Hokage isn't easy as he fights enemies stronger than him who are after his fox inside him. Other than that, the enemies always tell to give up his friends, his dreams, and his path, but as the protagonist, he doesn't and proves them wrong and also changes the enemies heart. After so many battles, he accomplishes his dream and the anime comes to an end. Again this anime is one of my favorites, but now it's time to analyze the quote. So the person who says the quote is Shisui Uchiha who is my favorite character and also very wise when it comes to the morals of the world. When I came across his quote, I was truly shocked and curious about its meaning. This quote truly changes how I perceive the word "justice" and I began to think deeply about what has happened in the past and the present and I was truly shocked in the sense that I began to feel a weird feeling that I could describe. What he basically meant that in his world there is no such thing as "true justice" because everyone in the world has their own justice in which they believe is true while others think the opposite. The more and more I thought about it, the more and more it made sense in the real world. I came to the conclusion that this quote also applied to the real world because there have been incidents where people do horrific things because they believe it is right and what they did is their definition of justice. Everyone would simply disagree with the person who has done harm to achieve their justice, but once they learn the reason behind their actions they begin to question their judgment. This was exactly what I began to do and at first, it was a bit scary to think this way, but the more I thought about the more I understood how life works. I'm glad that I came across this quote and I hope you guys also are glad because quotes like these can help you get a better understanding of how life works and how the real world operates. The last thing that it helps with is that everyone has their own version of justice which leads to the question of what exactly is justice and how far can it go before it's perceived as evil or good? Like every other quote that I have done in the past, it's time to connect this quote with the IB Learner Profile. While writing this whole Mindfulness Monday analysis, the parts that seem to call out to me are knowledgeable, reflective, thinkers, and open-minded. To begin, the reason why I saw this quote is associated with knowledgeable is because we are learning something that is worth learning and gives insight on how the world operates. This will then connect to being a thinker because once you read the quote, you will certainly will be thinking very hard towards what the quote is trying to convey. Then the quote will associate with being open-minded and reflective because you will think hard about everything you do along what other people do and you will begin to accept what others do. Not only that you will also become reflective when figuring what justice means and eventually you will begin to reflect upon what all the people who have been on the news for what they have done and you will begin to question if what they did was out the belief that they were simply doing to acquire justice. As a side note, this thinking process that the quote has made you do doesn't have to only apply to justice, but it could be applied to anything that people tend to perceive differently. Well this quote, I have to say, has truly moved me and change the way how I see and define the term justice and I wonder if it has done the same to you. Until the next Mindfulness Monday. "Don't judge each day by the harvest reap but by the seeds that you plant"-Robert Louis Stevenson
Today's quote that I was given to analyze is just like the rest that I have done in the past and like all of those, this is one is very interesting. Before I continue on, I just wanted to apologize for not doing quite as often as I used, but I have been bombarded with a lot of work and it's taking a lot out of my time to do so. But now I'm back and I'm ready to get back on the saddle so after so long let us begin the analyzation of amazing inspirational quotes. So to begin with, I noticed right away that what it meant is something that I am trying to accomplish. Before I explain myself I'll explain what I think it means. So to me, I believe that this quote is saying that you don't judge how a day went by what you got out of it, but rather to judge by what you left behind. To clarify a bit more, let us say you did a good deed one day by helping out kids improve in school and you have been doing this for quite some time and you finally feel like you deserve to be rewarded, but you don't. This makes you feel like no one appreciates what you do until one day you see someone who you help do what you do and almost does it in the same manner as you would do it. You then realize that you did get rewarded and not in money any other reward of some sort, but you got the reward of helping someone build their character. This to me is how I see it and to be honest I have been through this situation before and I have to say it was truly a life-changing experience for me and for the person I influenced. I felt very great because this person told they did not have friends and they would tell me that it was probably how they acted. I managed to help them, but they would not change. At the time I didn't care about rewards, I just focused on getting him some friends. After 4 years, the seeds that I left him began to sprout into great plants and at the moment I was truly rewarded because he finally managed to change his personality and he began to integrate what I taught him with others and I was proud. Now that I think about it, this quote was almost like the foundation of the building of who I am today and I am grateful that I came across this quote today because now I really want to leave many things behind. Well, I rambled on for a long time, but I think it's time to connect it with the IB profile. Well as I have looked back at the IB profile and I found some connections of some parts of it such as being principled, knowledgeable, and reflective. The reason why I say it is associated with being principled is that we begin to learn what is right from wrong and in this situation we learn that it isn't always right to always ask for a reward after a good deed is done. We must go beyond what rewards such as objects or money because in life these rewards can't always bring happiness. This would then connect to being knowledgeable because we learn that happiness is not always a feeling that augments itself by receiving, but by giving. The world's happiness is usually given and shared with everyone and that is because of what people left behind so that we could learn what they did and maybe integrate them into our character. Usually, we become knowledgeable by reflecting on the actions that we do and the effects it has on others. These three parts of the profile work hand-in-hand with each other and when they do come together, a person's character is built. Well, that is all I have to say for today's entry on Mindfulness Mondays and I really hope that you people are enjoying these quotes as much as I am. Well until the next Mindfulness Monday. Have a great week. "I believe that the only courage anybody ever needs is the courage to follow your own dreams"- Oprah Winfrey
Well, I'm back again from my vacation and now that school is up and running again, I'm bringing mindfulness Mondays back and I must say it feels great to be back. Not only that, we get to start the process of analyzing quotes by analyzing a quote from a great person like Oprah Winfrey. I'll tell you when I received one of her quotes today I was pretty happy because she is such a great person and has done many good things in her life mainly helping people going through troubled times. Well to move on to her quote, I have noticed that it has motivational power. The reason why I say that her quote has motivational power is because she motivates people to build up the courage to follow our dreams. This to me right away gives me such an amazing feeling to follow our dreams because she talks about courage and dreams. As a reference, Naruto, the main character of the anime Naruto, always speaks of dreams in the same manner as Oprah. She quotes that the only courage we need is the one that allows us to follow our dreams and Naruto would literally be a good example of her quote. The reason why I say Naruto is a good example is that he always had the courage to follow his dream even when everybody around him would always laugh at his dreams, but he wouldn't care and he still kept the courage in doing so. To clarify, I used Naruto as an example for this quote because he truly shows this and conveys another meaning to the courage part in which it could be seen the reason that we should have courage in following our dreams due to the fact that there will be people that will always discourage us. This began to call out to me when I reference Naruto because like I said there were people that would always laugh at his dreams, but he had such a strong courage in following his dreams that he didn't care because he will do everything to make his dream come true. All I know, that thanks to this quote and the reference of Naruto, I will build up my courage to follow my dreams and make it stronger so that no one can make me doubt the path I plan to walk. Well, that felt really great in analyzing the quote and connecting it with the show that helped build my personality and thanks to this quote I'm going to fortify personality and stick to it. At the moment I feel good, but as usual, it's time to connect this quote with the IB profile. As I looked at the profile I realized that this quote is the first quote that stumped in connecting it with any part of the profile. For the moment I believe that this quote is connected with risk-taker. I know what you are wondering, but I feel that this profile has a good connection with the quote. To clarify, when we have dreams to follow there is no doubt that there are going to be many things that will make you rethink following your dreams and that sometimes comes with a risk. I know that it may not seem risky, but it actually is. There are going to be hard decisions along the way that will either prolong you from reaching your dream or stop you from reaching it. With a connection to the quote, we must build the courage to make the risks in order to stay true to our word. This is really important because I learned that following your dreams builds up your character in a manner that it is hard to notice and if they weren't dreams to follow then what we call goal or achievement and the great feeling of success would cease to exist. On that note, I will end today's mindfulness Monday. Until next week, I hope everyone will see the motivational power that this quote has. "You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose. You're on your own. And you know what you know. And YOU are the one who'll decide where to go..."- Dr. Seuss
Well I have to say, it feels good to be back doing Mindfulness Mondays, since I really missed doing them, but when you really worked hard this school year and summer finally comes, it's worth taking a break to get your strength replenished in order to be prepared for the new one and making it worthwhile, especially when it is your last. Well enough of me, I hope everyone who reads my blog has had a nice summer so far, but I think it's time to get back into analyzing inspirational quotes. For starters, isn't it nice to start the MIndfulness Mondays with one of the greatest children's author of all time, Dr. Seuss. I have to say, I read his awesome books because they were so fun to read due to the fact that his books taught kids how to rhyme. Now, in the present day, I'm interested what inspirational people have said in the past and to see their quotes effect on people. So continuing on with the analysis of the quote, I will admit, once I rad the quote, I felt that it had so much great positivity and power that could potentially turn someone's world right side up if they come across this quote. For those who don't feel the power or don't get it when they first read it, let me make it clear for you. How I see it, Dr. Seuss was trying to reveal to people that each individual has their right and power to do what they want to do. He also made it clear that we can head in whatever direction we want because we are all different and everyone walks different paths. Another thing to point out, he uses repetition of the word "you" as means to convey that the individual has the power to strive in whatever direction they choose to go and it's that individuals power alone to decide where to go. I will be honest, this quote is very moving and true because I really believe that everyone is different and because of their choice this world has become interesting. Also before I move on how this quote connects to the IB profile, I would like also point out that this isn't true in its full capacity because I have noticed that sometimes people need help in finding what directions and that is why we have family and friends because they are the ones who help us decide what we want to do. Well, it felt good to analyze the quote and now its time to connect this awesome quote with the learner profile. As far as I can see the traits that this quote follows under are: risk-taker, thinker, and reflective. To begin, this quote relates to the trait of being a risk-taker because in life, whatever we want to do usually have some sort risk and sometimes we are so determined to take the risk that we take it because what we want to achieve is in sight and nothing will stop us to reach our desire. Next, the quote is related to the trait of a thinker because every individual must decide what path to walk on and that requires a lot of thinking. I would understand that some people would not understand me, but hear me out. We have to think ahead of time on what we want to do and it may seem easy at first, but in reality, it's complex. To clarify, when a person has their mind set on something they decide what path to walk on, but they need to decide to either to walk on the easy path or the path that has many bumps along the way. At first, when you read the previous sentence, it may seem confusing, but what I'm trying to say that there are two ways (sometimes there is a third) to approach a goal and its either the easy, boring way or the bumpy, hard-working, but it is up to the individual of course and that is what matters, the decision of the individual. Well moving on, this quote relates to reflective because sometimes we walk off the path and when that happens we tend to lose ourselves and that will hurt us really bad mentally. But thankfully, we have people to help us get back on that path keep on fighting or sometimes the people will break out of their depression once they reflect what they have done wrong and figure out the solution in getting back on track. Well, it's good to be back and it as always it's fun doing this for you guys because I know someone will read my blog and they find the analyzation of quotes and what I say about them will help them find themselves and that would really make me happy. Until the next time. |
