"Always keep your eyes open. Keep watching. Because whatever you see can inspire."- Grace Coddington
Alright, everyone, I'm sorry that I haven't done this in a while, but I'm back and ready to analyze a quote. So enough talk, let us just jump right into it. Well, like usual I get random quotes daily from Google and today's quote was quite interesting and really got me to think really deeply. The reason why I thought deeply was that I took it to the heart of the interpretation of the quote. So basically the main point the quote is trying to make is patient and great things will eventually happen and this you can get inspired. So to relate back why I took this to hear is because I really went through a rough time in the last two months and I really was impatient in trying to get better. I wanted the darkest time in my life to end quickly because it was truly getting me off my path. I spoke to people, especially my teacher, to ask for there guidance and all I have to say that it was the best decision to keep my eyes open. Honestly, I kept shutting my eyes because I didn't want to witness anything anymore because I had enough. But my English teacher especially really helped throughout the journey and I'm glad she stuck through it because without her help I would still be lost. She told me to keep going no matter what and to "relish the accomplishment" and most importantly to be patient because what I was going through was going to take time. Overall, I'm really happy that I received this quote today because it made reflect upon the dark time I went through, thinking the alternatives that could have to happen if I did not keep my eyes open. Well, as everyone knows now, it is time to connect Monday's quote with the IB Learner Profile. So when I saw this quote I knew right away that this quote was connected to the part of thinking, reflective, and knowledgeable. So you may know why this quote is associated with thinking because if you see this quote or any quote in general, you will put great thought into. You begin to think of its interpretation and how it can be used in your favor or for me, how it can inspire you and how you can inspire others with it. But before you reach this outcome, the reflective part of the Profile also is present in the thinking process. When you begin to think about the power that the quote contains, you begin to reflect upon what you have gone through and find specific moments in your life that really connects well with the meaning. When you look back, you begin to think of what you have gone through and you begin to put deep thought into trying to figure out what you learned from it and then you try to think of ways to prevent it. When this happens, the knowledgeable part of the profile becomes unique and the reason why is because when you deeply reflected of your experience, you think deeply about everything that occurred and you become more knowledgeable in that area of experiences in that you will know what to do if that experience were to happen once again. So to put it simply, every experience, especially really deep experiences, you will no longer be the same once you went through the whole experience. It may sound scary, but not fret, this change isn't bad it's good and the reason why is because you keep your eyes open, kept on watching, and you learned and most of the time you learn by being supported by those who care deeply about you and want what is best for you. Well, that is it, folks. I really hope you guys like this as much as I did and maybe, just maybe, I will write my hardest experience that really connects to this quote and I will try to leave what I learned from it and pass the knowledge to you. Well until next Monday.
